Dr. Ruth DeBusk has a Ph.D. in Nutrition & Food Science and Genetics & Biochemistry. She is Professor of Nutritional and Biochemical Genetics in Tallahassee, Florida. She has almost 40 years of experience in the combined fields of nutrition and genetics. Dr. DeBusk is a genetic researcher, and a registered dietician in private practice working in the areas of genetics and nutrition. Dr. Ruth, as her students fondly called her, is the author of numerous scientific papers and four books, including Genetics: The Nutrition Connection, published by the American Dietetic Association for use in educating health care professionals about the upcoming era of nutritional genomics. She’s a popular speaker, with a passion for educating professional and lay audiences about nutritional genomics.

She holds a doctorate and is board certified in Clinical Nutrition, is the author of Digestive Wellness, Digestive Wellness for Children, and Leaky Gut Syndrome. She’s the Director of Doctoral Studies at Hawthorn Health and Nutrition Institute, and the nutrition editor for Pilates Style Magazine.
