An Exercise in Filming 28 June 1959
The Lighthouse Lark 29 January 1960
A Deliberate Boshing 19 April 1963
Tug-Of-War 19 February 1960
From 1959to 1977, Ihe Navy Lark sailed the airwaves as one of BBC radio's longest-running comedy programmes. Amongst the many stars who served time on HMS Troutbridge were Jon Pertwee, Leslie Phillips, Ronnie Barker and Tenniel Evans.
Now Fred Vintner, the President of The Navy Lark Appreciation Society, has selected four favourite episodes for you to enjoy.
In An Exercise in Filming, the crew are put at the disposal of a film company - with disastrous consequences, while in The Lighthouse Lark, they try to rescue a lighthouse keeper trapped by a storm. HMS Troutbridge has a bit of a bump in A Deliberate Bashing, and in Tug-Of-War the ship is called upon to escort a visiting dignitary to Portsmouth.
So climb aboard and join the merry crew in these four classic capers !

Have you always loved reading but sometimes find it hard to find the time? Theres nothing quite like curling up with a good book but many of us cant do that as much as wed like. We sacrifice this special time because we have so many other things to do each day. Its a common problem and its the reason why people on average are not reading as much as they once did.
Audio books bring the story to life just as the storytellers of the past did. They allow you to experience the book in a whole new way; in the way the writer felt and heard it in their head. You can feel the emotion when you allow audio books to let the story come to life.
